George Washington was bled to death…

Anyone who really knows me will tell you that I am often very pleasant to be around and a good addition to any group environment. This, despite my gloom and doom outlook in many areas of life, is just who I am. For years, my skepticism and cynicism, coated with sarcasm and served with a side of jocularity, probably annoyed more people than would care to admit.
What’s it look like today?
Well, we have record job losses to look forward to in an upcoming report. In addition, the G20 summit has become flooded with an odd mix of global warming activists and Federal Reserve protesters. Tomorrow should be even more interesting.
What’s that, Sean Hannity? Those “crazy conspiracy theorists were right”?
The world must be coming to an end. ;(
The newest tally of the money injected into the “financial system” has nearly surpassed the total value of everything produced in America last year. Think about that for a second. It’s almost unfathomable, and is one of many reasons why I couldn’t understage the outrage over AIG’s $200 million bonus payouts, even though Merrill Lynch’s payouts were in double digit multiples of AIG’s. But, let’s be honest; that’s a drop in the bucket, and a distraction.
Speaking of distractions, this blog will become one for me, but a focused one.
How about that Conficker? A bunch of other bugs were floating around the past month, like reader_s. Truth be told, the end-user is ulimately responsible for ensuring system stability. No amount of security software can prevent the user from running malicious software if the end-user invites it in. It’s like when your friend invites someone you don’t care for to your party, and that person invites a few of their friends, whom you also don’t like, who invite a few of their friends. Pretty soon, your crummy house party is overrun with douchebaggery. I wouldn’t know anything about that, though.
Have you ever been awoken by a freakishly nightmarish hailstorm in the early evening before the sun fully set? I have!
It really is beautiful. No doubt about it.
I am amazed at the powers that have been granted to this administration after the last one was criticized so much for expanding their power. Most of the policies are very similar, yet the public seems to accept it. Weird. The Obama administration ousted the head of GM. That’s power. Is it too much? If you had to choose which was more “too much”, Obama firing the guy, or the guy walking away with $20 million? Some called him a sacrificial lamb. Excuse me? Who is sacrificing what, exactly? Timmy G has stated that firing the bank CEOs is an option, just like he said global currency is an option. Maybe neither are true, maybe one, maybe both. We’ll see soon I suppose.
My next blog will be less boring. For now, it’s time to enjoy salad and Wolverine.
Arggh Mateys,
DHS
